THE enigmatic five-eighth has been on a roll for the Casino Cougars in the first month of the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition
His second half performance against Murwillumbah where he scored two tries and laid on another from a kick in a 22-16 win was one of the best individual performances so far this season.
FIVE Far North Coast hockey players returned home with gold medals after competing in the Masters World Cup in Canberra.
They were David Brown, Scott Hamilton, Grant Smith, Helen Rankin-Jarvie and Janelle Pitman.
Pitman was one of the top goal-scorers in her age division finishing the tournament with four.
LISMORE tennis player Brendan Moore took out the Hotel Cecil Casino Open for a record seventh time.
Moore was top seed and beat Laurieton's Corey Clarke 6-3 7-6 in the final.
It has been a big year for Moore winning the Ballina Year Open of a record third time and the Easter Open in Coffs Harbour among other wins in Queensland.
GOLD Coast surfer Joel Tilley won the annual Byron Bay Malibu Classic at Wategos Beach.
Other winners included Spud Keevers (over-55s), Mike Pimm (over-60s) and Alan Atkins (over-65s).
Queensland drivers took most divisions at the annual Young Guns karting event at the Lismore Showground.
More than 100 drivers competed coming from as far north as Mount Isa down to Sydney.
