Former Lismore cricketer debuts with Queensland Bulls

FORMER Lismore cricketer Simon Milenko made an impressive one-day debut with the bat for the Queensland Bulls at the 'Gabba in Brisbane on Friday night.

Playing in the Matador Cup competition against New South Wales, Milenko blasted 54 runs from just 39 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes.

Coming in at No 6 in the batting order, his innings enabled to the Bulls to post a reasonable total of 243 but the Blues managed to chase it down with three balls to spare.

Milenko, 25, grew up playing junior club cricket for Eureka and junior representative cricket for Lismore, Far North Coast and North Coast zone.
