Signings to saddle up for Broncos

BRISBANE Broncos coach Anthony Griffin yesterday celebrated the arrival of three new players - Todd Lowrie, Daniel Vidot and Stewart Mills.

Seasoned second-rower Lowrie has signed a two-year deal, while young outside backs Vidot (two years) and Mills (one year) will bring utility value.

The 30-year-old Lowrie has previously played with four clubs, Newcastle, Parramatta, Melbourne and, most recently, the Warriors.

"He's played 184 games so he's got a wealth of experience and he'll really add to the strength of our pack," Griffin said.

Vidot, who is 108kg, has played 78 games with the Raiders and the Dragons, while Mills has played 16 games with Cronulla.

Griffin said both players were capable of covering various positions and at 23 and 21, respectively, had their best football in front of them

Meanwhile, fullback Kevin Locke is remaining with the NZ Warriors next season.

Locke, who still has one year left on his contract as well as an option for another, had been linked with a move after the club secured England fullback Sam Tomkins.
