Mykaella sells the benefits of being Lismore Showgirl

IMPECCABLE presentation skills and the potential to win around $10,000 if you make it to the national competition at the Sydney Royal Show are a few benefits of entering the competition for the North Coast National Showgirl.

Last year's winner Mykaella Gosper certainly walks the talk as a representative of country women.

Owning her own horse adjustment business is just part of daily life as is implementing the presentation and make-up skills she learnt in Dubbo during a deportment course which was part of last year's prize.

Ms Gosper made it to the zone championships held in Taree and says it was the experience of a lifetime.

This year's contestants include Ellie Stephens, Holly Cameron and Margaret Heather Young.

When asked what advice she would offer to the current contestants Ms Gosper said:

"Be brave, it's all about confidence. If you believe in yourself you can't fail."
