Two more sharks spotted by helicopter

A CHARTER helicopter spotted another two sharks yesterday morning during a flyover of the Ballina Shire beaches.

A shark was spotted off Flat Rock and another one in the vicinity of Boulder Beach, south of Lennox Head.

Surf Life Saving Far North coast duty officer Jimmy Keogh said a jetski was tasked to investigate the sightings but saw nothing further.

Beaches across the shire remained closed yesterday.

A decision will be made on whether to reopen them early this morning.
