THE Over-8s Malibu Club has completed another great year with its last competition last weekend climaxing in a family barbecue at the 'tree of knowledge'.

There was even a visit from Santa for the kids.

The presentation night will be held on Saturday, December 15 at the Evans Head Bowling Club with entertainment by Greg Nolan to follow.

This year's Evans Head Malibu Classic, held on the October long weekend, was a hit and proceeds from the event have gone to various groups in the area.

The North Coast Disabled Surfers enjoyed a great day at Main Beach, Evans Head recently, thanks to a large group of local surfer volunteers.

The DSA would like to keep its donation in an Evans Head account to go towards a new therapeutic wheelchair to be used by locals or visitors who may need it. Other donations were made to Alison Smith, our club member, who participated in the cancer council Relay for Life Believers team, as well as the Evans Head Surf Club, Lions Club and the Westpac Helicopter Appeal.

The Malibu Club thanks all local sponsors.
