Sex offender drove drunk to see prostitute while on parole

A CONVICTED sex offender and disgraced former lawyer was busted drink-driving five times over the limit on his way to see an escort while on bail and serving parole for molesting kids.

Father of four Paul John Crowley, 51, from Toowong and Biddaddaba in the Scenic Rim, faces up to four months behind bars when he is sentenced in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.

The son of a former acting chairman of Queensland's Criminal Justice Commission, Crowley last week pleaded guilty to nine charges, including two of drink-driving.

Police Prosecutor Senior Constable Hayley Kipps told the court Crowley was charged with high-range drink driving on May 19 after he recorded a blood-alcohol level of 0.247.
