Police appeal for crash witnesses
3.30pm: POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash at Wooli, south of Grafton that left three people badly injured.
Earlier reports that one of the people involved in the crash died have been found to be incorrect.
Police said a woman driving a Nissan Pathfinder 4WD and her male passenger were rushed to Coffs Harbour Hospital after their vehicle, which was towing a caravan, and an eight-tonne pantech truck collided on the Pacific Highway about 10km south of Grafton about 11am.
The male truck driver suffered leg injuries in the crash and was taken by road ambulance to Grafton Hospital.
The highway remains closed and expected to reopen about 5pm today to allow investigators to examine the scene.

A PERSON has died and another flown to hospital after a serious crash on the Pacific Highway at Wooli south of Grafton.
The crash, between a truck and a 4WD towing a caravan, has forced the closure of the highway in other directions.
The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has been called in and is currently flying a woman with chest injuries to Coffs Harbour Hospital.
Motorists travelling on the highway are advised to expect delays and avoid the area.
