Sega Australia to be closed down by the end of the year

THE Australian arm of Sega will close down by the end of year, according to Sega.

The move was announced last week and comes after last year's announcement by Sega's head office that the entire business would be getting a shake-up.

"As we are under consultation with the studio we cannot comment on the particulars of the situation," Sega said in its release.

"However we can confirm that sadly the Australian studio will be closing its doors later this year."

Sega Australia, known as Creative Assembly Australia, developed games such as Medieval 2: Total War, Stormrise and the 2012 Olympics tie-in.
