Search for woman and young son intensifies

THE search for a mum and her young son, missing for five days, has been stepped up in NSW.

Serious concerns are held for the welfare of 39-year-old woman and her seven-year-old son, who were last seen in the early ours of Monday morning at Ettalong Beach on the Central Coast.

A state-wide alert with photos of the pair - the woman is described as Caucasian, about 165cm tall, with long dark and curly hair and green eyes and the son, fair with blond hair and a left stud in his ear, was issued on Friday afternoon.

Police are also searching for Bryson Lane, a 23-year-old man with tattoos on both arms and legs.

The three could be travelling in a blue Holden Commodore with the NSW registration CQG 34Q.Anyone with information can phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
