Pride, respect on Remembrance Day ahead of Mid-East mission

ABLE Seaman Aaron Armbruster has been in the Royal Australian Navy for seven years.

Later this month, he will be deployed to the Middle East on HMAS Success for his first overseas operation.

"I'm pretty proud to be going," the 24-year-old aviation mechanic said.

Mr Armbruster will be one of the active service personnel taking part in today's Remembrance Day service at the Lismore Cenotaph.

Aaron's parents were in the Army and he has attended Remembrance Day services since he was eight.

"It is all about respecting and showing reverence for the men who have died and served in all wars," he said.
