More than 1600 Lismore students get another day off school
UPDATE Tuesday 6.45am: ST JOHN'S College Woodlawn and The Rivers Secondary College Richmond River campus will remain closed today due to flood damage.
Richmond River had made the decision yesterday to stay closed, but Woodlawn waited to assess the site this morning before making their decision.
This message was posted on the Woodlawn website this morning:
"St John's College is closed for students today, Tuesday 7 June.
"Although the water has cleared Woodlawn Road remains closed.
"Staff are asked to attend school when they have safe access."
Between the two schools there are more than 1600 students, according to the MySchool website.
UPDATE Monday 3.30pm: AT LEAST one Lismore school will remain closed tomorrow due to flood damage.
The Rivers Secondary College RIchmond River campus has decided to stay closed for at least another day.
A school spokesperson said students could attend classes at other campuses, and would just need to sign in at the front office.
Trinity Catholic College, which was also closed today, will be open tomorrow following an extensive clean up at the school today.
St John's College Woodlawn said they would make a decision in the morning after a 6am inspection.
UPDATE: WILLIAMS Bus Lines have advised that their service from Repentance Creek through to Lismore, and backroads, will not be running today due to the weather.

The Rivers Secondary College Richmond River campus made the decision to cancel school earlier today.
"The predicted flood level for Sunday afternoon is 10.2 metres. As a result, the school will be closed on Monday 6th June," the school posted on its Facebook page.
"The Year 11 Music Practical Exam and Year 10 Exams scheduled for Monday are postponed.
"Under no circumstances is anyone to enter the school grounds until the school is reopened.
"Flood water is dangerous and can be deceptive. Please take care and do not cross any flood water if you are out and about. It's a good weekend for staying at home, reading a book, watching a movie or doing homework."
Trinity Catholic College in Lismore has also announced that school has been cancelled for tomorrow, and also cancelled interviews for potential Year 7 students, which were due to be held today.
St John's College Woodlawn advised on its website that the school would be closed tomorrow.
