Casino High reclaims challenge
CASINO High School has reclaimed the Beef Week Challenge Trophy with a 6-3 domination of St Mary’s High.
While St Mary’s proved the superior volleyballers by winning both matches, as well as the open rugby league, it was the public school that proved too strong overall across the four sports.
Casino High won boys and girls soccer, two of the three netball matches – the third was drawn – and the Under-13 and Under-15 rugby league.
The silverware will now undertake a 12-month residency at Casino High before going on the line again in 2011.
The overall tally is now locked up with each school having two annual wins – there have been two draws.
