Santa and music at Goonellabah Christmas Party

Santa surprises at Goonellabah Community Christmas Party

HUNDREDS of kids got a Santa surprise at the Goonellabah Community Christmas Party when the big man in red and white made his entrance on an old bicycle.

It wasn't long before he was surrounded by kids keen to get their hands on a free iceblock.

Held  at the Goonellabah Soccer Club, the annual event also saw local families enjoy a free sausage sizzle, hamper raffle, jumping castle and water slide.

Bundjalung singer-guitarist Billy Smith, a regular busker about town, was also on hand to deliver his much-loved selection of covers and originals.

The event was a joint venture of YWCA Northern Rivers and Lismore City Council.
