Lennox Head's Nyxie Ryan wins Wahu Grom competition
LENNOX Head surfer Nyxie Ryan won the Under-14 girls division at the Wahu Grom competition in Coffs Harbour.
She has now received an invite to attend an all-expenses-paid trip to the Wahu Surf Camp at the Hurley Surfing Australia high performance centre.
The series helps develop young Australian surfers.
The 10-event program caters to surfers from Under-8s through to Under-14s with events in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania.
Lennox Head's Reuben Sharpe finished third in the Under-8s mixed division while Niamh Sharpe came fifth in the Under-10 girls.
Skennars Head surfer Jack O'Brien finished third in the Under-12 boys with younger brother Harry O'Brien fourth in the Under-10 boys.
The next event is at Kiama this weekend.
