RTA fixes highway near Casino

THE RTA has advised motorists about repair work due to be carried out on the Bruxner Highway, 1.4km east of Casino, at McNaughton’s Road.

The work is required to improve the condition of the road surface after heavy rainfall in February caused damage to the road and resulted in the speed zone being reduced to 60km/h.

Work is due to start on Thursday, between 7am and 5pm, and is expected to be completed in July, weather permitting.

The work will involve stabilising the existing road surface followed by laying a bitumen seal.

Once the improvement work is completed the speed zone will be re-instated the previous 100km/h speed zone.

For more information contact the RTA’s Traffic Information Line on 132 701.
