Two goats shot in the face and left to die

THE RSPCA is appealing to the community for information after two domestic goats were shot in the face in Sarina.

The incident occurred in the afternoon on Sunday, August 17 near Ivory Rd, off Middle Creek Rd.

The goats were left to die with serious injuries. One was later euthanised.

RSPCA regional inspector Dave Ferrar said the acts were among the cruellest he had seen.

"These sorts of actions carry significant penalties and imprisonment terms," he said.

"To indiscriminately shoot and leave a domestic animal in such a critical condition is a disgrace."

The owner of the goats, who did not want to be named, said his teenage children found the injured animals.

Anyone with information should contact the RSPCA cruelty hotline on 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625).
