The childhood friends began their climb to rowing stardom as 12-year-olds when they joined the rowing program at Rockhampton Grammar School.

The pair had success throughout their school days in various crews and also as individuals.

Now the CQ duo are pursuing their careers, Belonogoff a student at Sydney University and Morley an apprentice electrician at Brisbane, but still they continue rowing at a top level.

At the recent National Championship the pair were in spark

ling form gaining their rewards in the under-23 section of competition.

In the Single Sculls event the pair gave the rest of Australia a lesson with a one-two finish.

Belonogoff was the winner in the end while Morley came home second to gain the silver medal.

The pair also gained gold when they teamed up with Ryan Edwards and Tom McClintoff to win the under-23 Quads.

Belonogoff completed his hat trick of gold medals when teaming up with Edwards, his Sydney University club mate, to win the Double Sculls.

In the same event Morley took bronze with crew member Nick Barnier.

Making it the perfect regatta for Belonogoff was also a member of the Sydney University Eight which became National Under-23 Champion.
