Rolf Harris pleads not guilty to new sexual assault charges

FORMER children's entertainer Rolf Harris has pleaded not guilty in a London court to a string of new sexual assault charges.

Appearing via videolink from Stafford prison where he is serving time for sexual assaults on four females, Harris entered a plea of not guilty to seven charges of indecent assault and one of sexual touching, alleged to have taken place between 1971 and 2004.

The complainants were aged between 12 and 27 at the time of the alleged offences.

One was blind, had cerebral palsy and very limited mobility when she was allegedly attacked in 1977.

Prosecutors said it was a prolonged attack of about 10 minutes during which the woman thrashed her head about but could not escape.
