Rohan suffers scary injury as Swans slump

AFL: There were serious concerns for Sydney Swans player Gary Rohan on Saturday, after he fell on his neck midway through the third quarter against Carlton at the MCG.

Rohan (pictured) cartwheeled over Carlton's Sam Rowe as he ran back with the flight of the ball in an attempt to spoil.

The Swans utility had his feet taken from out underneath him and was immediately knocked out when he hit the turf.

Rohan was stretchered off and rushed to hospital, but he was alert and talking to people - including his family - in the change rooms.

It was added bad news for the Swans, who slumped to 0-6 this season with a 19-point defeat.

Sydney is now the first team to start a season with six losses after making the grand final the year before.

Carlton kicked 10 goals to five after the break to run away with the win. Sam Docherty had 39 disposals for the Blues.
