Rodeo will put smiles on dials
THE effects of cancer and its treatments are a huge burden for even the strongest of adults, so it seems unimaginable that our children sometimes have to bear such a heavy load.
For the 15,000 children in Australia living with cancer, laughter is the best medicine, and that is what Camp Quality works to provide.
Each year Camp Quality offers children and families living with cancer a range of support, including camps, educational support, financial support and respite, at a cost of more than $300,000 annually.
Camp Quality Northern Rivers has 35 families registered who are living with the effects of cancer. At a cost of about $4000 per family, per year, it’s easy to see the need for community donations and sponsorship.
The Alstonville Rodeo Committee has long been a keen supporter of Camp Quality, and this year has very generously offered to donate 100 per cent of all proceeds of today’s rodeo to Camp Quality.
