Robert Plant to play Bluesfest
BLUESFEST has announced legendary rocker Robert Plant will perform at the Byron Bay blues and roots festival next year.
Plant tops the list in the Byron Bay festival's third announcement alongside Supertramp frontman Roger Hodgson, Status Quo, Madness and Yes frontman Jon Anderson.
Best known as the frontman in Led Zeppelin, Plant has been touring his show, Robert Plant Presents Sensational Space Shifters, a fusion of rock, blues and folk since earlier this year.
If recent set lists are anything to go by there will be a few classic Zeppelin songs among the slower burning newbies, including Whole Lotta Love, Gallows Pole, Black Dog, Friends and Going To California.
Plant is headlining Saturday night of the Easter event at Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm with bandmates Justin Adams and Juldeh Camara among others.
