Residents back petition to send Donald Trump to space

DARLING Downs residents want to send United States presidential candidate Donald Trump to space.

Numerous residents from Toowoomba and Oakey have signed a Change.com petition which proposes sending Mr Trump to space and leaving him there.

Detroit resident Autumn Boehle started the petition and said : "We are all tired of hearing about what outrageous thing that Donald Trump has said, done, wants to do and believes.

Her solution? To send him into space and leave him there.

"If this petition gets enough signatures I will attach a link to where you can donate to make this happen," she said.

The exorbitant cost of the plan hasn't discouraged her, with the average cost to launch a space shuttle about $450 million per mission.

"It won't be cheap, but it will be worthwhile," she said.

Mr Trump's plan to ban all Muslim migration to the United States drew condemnation from many around the world and a petition was launched to ban the billionaire from entry into the United Kingdom.

It has since attracted more than a quarter of a million signatures.

The space petition has proved less popular and has only garnered 7500 supporters.
