Helicopter called to scene of serious crash

UPDATE: 4.18pm.

THE Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the crash between a B-Double truck and a car on the Pacific Highway just north of the Macadamia Castle.

Reports from paramedics on the scene are that the truck's trailer has crushed the car.

Passengers remain trapped in the car.

Police at the scene have closed the highway to traffic in both directions and have requested a crane to assist with lifting the trailer off the car

 

EMERGENCY services are on the way to a serious crash involving a truck and a car on the Pacific Highway at Knockrow.

A NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said initial reports were that a B-double truck had rolled on top of a car, trapping the car's occupants.

Police, paramedics, police rescue, SES and NSW Fire and Rescue are on the way to the accident near Ivy Ln.
