BRITISH philosopher A. C. Grayling will be appearing in Byron Bay

A. C. Grayling's books are based on the idea that philosophy should engage with the world and make itself useful.

He believes that philosophy should take an active, useful role in society and is a prolific author, whose books include philosophy, ethics, biography, history, drama and essays.

His latest book, The Challenge of Things, a collection of essays on our conflicted and prejudiced world, follows best sellers The God Argument and The Reason of Things.

A.C. Grayling is Professor of Philosophy at, and Master of, the New College of the Humanities, London.
