Referees course next month

ANYONE interested in becoming a soccer referee is invited to two forthcoming informative events.

Football Far North Coast's Level Four Refereeing Course aims to teach people more about officiating and the rules of the game.

The scheme, which will be split into two sessions, will allow participants the opportunity to gain further accreditation and develop a possible future refereeing career.

Participants can attend the first course, which will be held at Pottsville Beach FC's clubhouse and fields in Tom Merchant Drive.

Meeting one will take place on Saturday, March 9 (9am-3.30pm), with the second three days later running from 6.30-9pm.

A second scheme will be held at the South Lismore Bowling Club in Wilson Street.

This is split into three sessions: Thursday, March 21, Monday, March 25 and Tuesday, March 26.All three run from 6-9pm.

Cost is $50.

Participants must first undertake an initial online course.
