Redmen against the Ex-men

IT will be a case of the Redmen against the Ex-men in soccer tomorrow when Workers take on a line-up of former players at Crozier Field in Lismore from 2.30pm.

The idea was conceived by former Workers players now in Brisbane, with the match a curtain-raiser to the club's annual presentation dinner at Lismore Workers Golf Club tomorrow night.

Among the visiting line-up are former FNC Golden Boot winner Tom Guttormsen, who is one of several in the line-up still playing XXXX League in Brisbane.

The side also includes Rhys and Lewis Evans, Liam and Lucas MacPherson, and former coach Paul Ianna with brother Shane.

Other former players to make the trip down from Brisbane are Josh Law, Dan Henderson, Todd Gordon, Sam Stead, Shane Banks and Kai Patch.

The current Redmen will fielda mixture of premier division players and those who used to play alongside the visitors but have since drifted down the divisions.

The match will also help the club kick-start fundraising for the Relay For Life campaign.
