Documentary delves into response to HIV crisis

Transmission is a documentary that captures the profound changes spanning the past three decades in Australia's and Cambodia's response to the AIDS epidemic.

ACON will be hosting a free screening of Transmission on Saturday, November 21, at Pighouse Flicks cinemas in Byron Bay from 5pm.

After a canape reception and the 6pm screening, a Q&A will be held with local and national HIV activists.

Also, the Ending HIV Red Ribbon Appeal will be held from November 24 to December 1 in selected locations across the Northern Rivers and online.

Red Ribbon merchandise will be available at ACON Northern Rivers, 27 Uralba Street, Lismore, and at selected businesses throughout the Northern Rivers.

On Tuesday, December 1, volunteers will be selling Red Ribbon merchandise at the Lismore Shopping Square and downtown Lismore, Byron Bay and Ballina.
