SERA Wright, of Photography Byron Bay - SJW Images, had some stiff competition in the Photo of the Day poll yesterday, but she really struck a chord with readers with this breathtaking photo taken from the St Helena lookout.

Sera had an overwhelming win in the voting, with 59% of those who took part in our Photo of the Day poll saying they liked her photo best.

Once again, the numbers don't really give an indication of just how fantastic the other images submitted for Photo of the Day were and I'm happy to announce we'll be running our second "best of the rest" spread over two pages in Monday's paper.

Once again, the photos being published on Monday are only a tiny fraction of the many amazing pictures submitted for Photo of the Day. We've tried to spread the selection around as many contributing photographers as possible. Congratulations to everyone whose photo is published on Monday and thankyou to everyone who takes part in Photo of the Day, whether that's in contributing images or voting in our weekday polls.

Photo of the Day is intended to highlight the beauty of the Northern Rivers and the talent of the region's photographers. As well as being published here, the Photo of the Day is published on Page 2 of our print edition, is used as the cover photo on our Facebook page and appears in an expanding gallery of images on our website, which you can see below.
