Railway shake-up sparks concern
A UNION organiser fears that the NSW Government's shake-up of the railways may be the start of more severe cuts.
Rail Tram and Bus Union Northern organiser Mick Schmitzer said the move would not provide a better service for the travelling public.
"There's talk of another 4000 jobs disappearing," he said.
"Passengers want the branch line to Murwillumbah reinstated but the government doesn't think of that."
