Race day field of trotters

PIGS might not fly, but they can certainly run fast, as the fourth annual Windara Father's Day Pig Races will show.

Starting at 11.30am on Sunday, September 7, an expected crowd of more than 300 people will be able to 'ham it up' with the fastest bacon on the day.

There are six to seven big races to be run at half-hourly intervals with the first race starting at 1pm and entry is by gold coin donation.

Fun for the whole family will include a jumping castle for the kids, a sausage sizzle, drinks and snacks, a licensed bar for dad and, of course, don't forget to check out the new kids' playground area.

This year's pig races are proudly sponsored by BenAir Refrigeration, Tursa, Days Machinery, Foscars, Darraghs Butchery, Tony's Workshop, Dairy Industries, Londys Takeaway, St Mary's Catholic College, St Mary's Catholic Parish Casino, Country IT, Casino Golf Club, Hannigans Solicitors, Casino Outdoor and Disposal, Casino DIY Hardware and Repco Casino.
