Queensland Reds to play Coast game

THE Queensland Reds will take on the Wellington Hurricanes in an exhibition match at Sunshine Coast Stadium next month.

The match will take place on Friday June 15 during the Super Rugby mid-year break.

The Reds will be without many of their Test stars, who will be unavailable on Wallabies duty.

The announcement will be made by coach Ewen McKenzie and lock Rob Simmons this afternoon.

On Sunday the team scored a season-defining come-from-behind 42-17 win over the Chiefs.

The Reds were second on the Super 15 Australian conference table on 31 points, eight behind the Brumbies.
