Promising talent shown off in FNC football

FOOTBALL FNC's latest crop of promising female talent recorded a respectable display at this year's Northern New South Wales State Championship for Girls.

The region's side finished fifth in the 12 years competition after winning one and drawing two of its six matches in the round-robin competition.

Charlotte Voss scored the goal as FNC defeated Hunter Valley 1-0 for its solitary victory, which helped the team finish fourth overall.

Meanwhile, the 14 years found it tough going in its competition, drawing two and losing four. Claire Farrington scored as FNC sealed a commendable 1-1 draw with eventual group winners Northern Inland yesterday.

The Coffs Harbour tournament featured some of the best young female players in their age groups.
