THIS week I will be featuring this absolutely stunning 2009 BMW E92 M3 Coupe.
Finished in Interlagos blue metallic paint, this previous generation M3 features a front-mounted 4.0-litre V8 engine which is able to produce a maximum of 309 kW (414 hp) @ 8,300 rpm and 400 Nm (295 lb/ft) of torque @ 3,900 rpm.
The E92 was the first M3 to feature an eight-cylinder engine instead of the four- and six-cylinders used in previous generation models. While increasing both power and torque, this V8 also produces a sweet soundtrack from the aftermarket Mille Miglia exhaust.
Connected to the engine is a 6-speed manual transmission, which sends the power to the rear wheels through a variable M-Sport limited-slip rear differential.
This particular model also has a kerb weight of around 1,580 kilograms.
The E92 M3 Coupe is capable of launching from 0-100 kilometres per hour in just 4.8 seconds, and it will keep accelerating until it reaches its electronically limited top speed of 250kmh.
Some other features that this BMW is equipped with include 19-inch 16-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in performance tyres, a rear lip spoiler, a BMW M Performance steering wheel, a carbon fibre rear diffuser and side mirrors, gloss black kidney grills, MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, 4-wheel ABS as well as traction and stability control, xenon headlights, electronic brake force distribution, a black leather interior and much more!
As you may already be aware, the all-new BMW M3 and M4 have replaced the E92 M3. For these new M cars, BMW downsized from the naturally aspirated eight cylinder and replaced it with a more powerful and more efficient 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline six, which don't get me wrong is a great engine, but it will never match the feeling, or the sound of a V8.
BMW announced a couple of years ago that the E92 M3 will be the first and last V8 M3 it will ever make.
You can currently purchase a pre-loved 2009 BMW E92 M3 Coupe for around $90,000.
