Prepare for your world to be rocked at PBR bullride

THE Daily Examiner/Rural Weekly Professional Bull Riders event at Grafton showground on May 7 might be mostly about the cowboys and the beasts, but there will be plenty of other entertainment, too.

Music plays a major part in these events, entertaining the crowd during the breaks and after the action in the ring is finished.

Anyone who was at the showground for last year’s PBR and stayed when the bullriding had finished will remember people dancing and having a great time well into the night. It was a great way to cap off the evening and some people just didn’t want to go home.

For this year’s event, top-class Northern Rivers covers band Occarock will be pumping out the tunes. Every gig the power trio plays is full of “in-your-face-rock” played with power and passion.

Occarock is into its 10th year gigging around the traps – and with the same line-up. The band’s repertoire consists of classics from the 1970s through to today, and as one happy publican was quoted to say, “Every person in the room knew each one of the songs – what a great concept!”

Bands and performers on the set list include AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Dire Straits, Hoodoo Gurus, Midnight Oil, The Angels and ZZ Top.

To make sure you are there to enjoy the music and the amazing bullriding action, now is the time to secure your tickets.

Premium ringside and grandstand tickets are $50 each for adults, $30 for children (3-16 years), and $130 for a family (two adults and two children). General admission tickets are $35 (adults), $20 (children) and $90 (family).
