Prepare for the NBN

REGIONAL Development Australia's Northern Rivers group is preparing a series of workshops to help prepare the region for the National Broadband Network.

Starting on Monday, February 25, the organisation has arranged a series of workshops to be held at Lismore Workers Club, Casino RSM Club, Grafton Services Club, Ballina RSL Services Club, and the Murwillumbah civic centre.

The meetings will be tailored to meet varying sectors of the regional economy, including householders, small business operators, young people, creative industries, agriculture, emergency services, tourism, retail, manufacturing, education, and telecommunications companies and internet service providers.

The two-hour workshops are aimed at showing Northern Rivers residents and businesses how super-fast broadband will change the way they live and work.

It will look at the way the region can benefit from the National Broadband Network along with the challenges it will create by increasing global competition for local consumers and businesses.

Anyone interested in going to one of the workshops can get more details here.
