The storms are likely to produce destructive winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning areas which include Lismore, Grafton, Tenterfield, Yamba, Maclean and Dorrigo.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should secure loose items around your house and yard, keep clear of fallen powerlines, stay clear of creeks and storm drains, and never to walk, ride or drive through floodwater.
