Polls: Power to stay with Coalition

PREMIER Mike Baird looks like retaining power in NSW with a reduced margin after Saturday's election, two polls suggest.

The latest Fairfax Ipsos poll had the Coalition at 54% compared to Labor's 46% on a two-party preferred basis.

A News Corporation Galaxy poll found Mr Baird was beating Opposition Leader Luke Foley as preferred premier 56% to 27%.

It also found the Coalition led 54% to 46% after preferences, and that the party could lose as few as 10 seats at the election - leaving it with 57 in the lower house.
