Police seize more than 40 dope plants in raid at The Channon

A HYDROPONIC cannabis set up and 41 cannabis plants have been uncovered by police during a search warrant at a Terania Creek Road property at The Channon.

Just before 9am yesterday morning, police from the Richmond LAC Target Action Group and drug unit executed the search warrant.

Richmond LAC Inspector Doug Conners said police uncovered a hydroponic cannabis set up as well as a number of cultivated outdoor cannabis plants.

He said a total of 41 cannabis plants were seized as well as 2.66kg of cannabis leaf.

The 42-year-old male occupant was arrested and has been charged with cultivating prohibited plant, possessing prohibited drug, supply cannabis and take part in enhanced indoor cultivation of prohibited drugs.

The man has been bailed to appear at the Lismore Local Court on October 26.

"This is another example of the excellent work of police from the Richmond LAC," Insp. Conners said.
