Police search for missing remains

A SEARCH party in Victoria has begun the grisly task of scouring a mountain range for the missing remains of a man whose body parts were discovered during a drug raid earlier this year.

Yengo Faugere, 23, was reported missing from his Melbourne share house in October last year.

Police believe he was kidnapped and taken to the Mansfield area where he was murdered.

In February this year detectives found parts of Mr Faugere's body during a raid of a St Leonards home.

New information has led police to believe the reaming parts may have been dumped in the nearby Alpine Range.

Police and SES crews have been sent to the area.

A 25-year-old man is currently before the courts charged with Mr Faugure's murder.
Investigations are continuing.
