Missing Dunoon toddler found safe and well

UPDATE 12.40pm:

THE two-year-old girl who went missing from her Dunoon home just after 10am has been found safe and well.

A police media spokeswoman confirmed the girl was found safe and well at about 12.30pm.

 

12.10pm:

POLICE have called in a dog squad unit and rescue helicopter to help search for a two-year-old girl who went missing from her home at Dunoon, north of Lismore, this morning.

A police media spokeswoman said when a man, who had been working on his car at his Dunoon Rd home, noticed the girl missing just after 10am he went to investigate.

While searching inside his house he found the clothes the girl was wearing on the floor.

After calling police he began frantically searching along an unfenced creek at the back of the property.

Several police cars and a dog squad unit are on the scene searching for the girl who is described as having blonde hair.

The SES has also been called in to assist in the search.

Anyone with any information on the missing girl is asked to urgently contact Lismore police on 6626 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
