POLICE rescuers were called to Booerie Creek near Lismore yesterday morning after reports a pony was stuck in the creek.

Officers received the call about 7.30am and police rescue was dispatched.

The pony was retrieved safe and well by 8.50am with police rescue reporting the creek water wasn't as cold as first thought.
