Police out in force to ensure Lismore cup is enjoyed by all
POLICE will be out in force to ensure a repeat of the good behaviour of racegoers at last year's Lismore Cup.
A large contingent of police and licensed security guards will be on duty at the Lismore Turf Club and afterwards in the CBD to ensure the event is safe and enjoyable for everyone.
Licensed premises in the Lismore CBD will have a 9pm curfew with entry not permitted after this time.
Additional Highway Patrol police have been rostered on duty and will be targeting drink driving and traffic offences.
Security guards, police, turf club staff and designated Responsible Service of Alcohol Marshall's will be monitoring patron behaviour and alcohol consumption.
Numerous buses and taxis will be available throughout the day, with designated drop off zones in the CBD at Crowther Carpark, Trevan Bus zone Conway Street and Spinks Park Transit Centre.
The Lismore Late Nighter Bus will run services from the CBD from 8pm till 1am.
Police said they would not tolerate anti-social behaviour, with action taken against those individuals who commit offences.
