Mystery surrounds stabbing

MYSTERY surrounds how a man was stabbed after he was driven to the Gold Coast University Hospital with multiple wounds last night.

Detectives are investigating how the 25-year-old man was injured after he was admitted to the Gold Coast University Hospital around 7.20pm last night with several stab wounds to his body.

Early police investigations suggest the man was driven to the hospital in a car which was found in a nearby carpark.

A crime scene was later established at James Overall Park in Brighton Parade, Southport.

The man was treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Investigations are continuing.
