Police investigate report of Ocean Shores child approached

POLICE are investigating after a 12-year-old boy reported being approached in Ocean Shores on Saturday afternoon.

A blue single-cabin utility approached the boy near the intersection of Rangle Road and Kallaroo Circuit, Ocean Shores.

Police have been told the driver asked the boy to get in the car.

The boy ran away and the incident was reported to police. Officers from Tweed Byron Local Area Command attended, and are appealing for information about a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as about 45- years -old, with a medium build, short black hair, black stubble on his face and wearing large black sunglasses.
