Police investigate home invasion at Goonellabah

POLICE continue to investigate a home invasion at a Goonellabah residence on Tuesday morning.

Lismore police Inspector Doug Conners said about 3.30 am a woman awoke and disturbed two males within a McDermott Ave residence.

"The offenders fled prior to police arrival," he said.

"A crime scene was declared and an examination of the crime scene has been conducted."

Insp Conners said detectives continued their enquiries into the incident yesterday.
