Police hunt video store armed robber

POLICE are appealing to the public for information in relation to the armed robbery of Civic Video at East Lismore in September this year.

About 8:15pm on Friday, September 7, a man armed with a knife entered the Civic Video store on the corner of Wyrallah Rd and Dalley St at East Lismore.

The offender threatened a female employee with the knife demanding money from the till which she handed to him.

Police said the man stole a number of packets of lollies from a stand near the counter before running from the store.

It is believed he dropped some of the proceeds of the robbery when fleeing the scene.

Police said the man is described as Caucasian, between 20 and 40 years-old, of medium build, approximately 180cm tall.

At the time he was wearing black a balaclava, a red hoodie jumper and black or dark blue track pants.

As part of the investigation police are looking at this offence and a number of other armed robberies which have occurred in the Lismore and surrounding areas in the last year in order to identify any similarities.
