Police arrest paedophile with possible links to Maddy McCann
A BRITISH man in his 70s will be extradited from Malta to Britain amid accusations he has links to the disappearance of schoolgirl Madeleine McCann.
Roderick Macdonald is to be questioned by UK police about a paedophile ring authorities believe is linked to the girl's abduction.
The UK mirror reports Macdonald once raped an eight-year-old girl in Australia.
Prior to his arrest by Maltese police on Monday, there had been an international warrant out for Macdonald, who has also been known as Roderick William Robinson.
He fled the UK after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a girl under 13, then not telling authorities about his change of name or address.
Macdonald is believed to have been Portugal in 2007 when three-year-old Madeleine vanished from the Praia da Luz apartment.
