Police appeal to public after armed robbery in Casino

POLICE are appealing to the public after an armed robbery in Casino this morning.

Police allege that at 5.57am today an aboriginal male armed with a knife entered the Mini Mart at 99 Queensland Rd Casino.

Police said the man raised the knife towards the attendant and the pair got into a scuffle before the assailant ran from the scene, leaving the attendant with minor injuries.

The man is described as male, early 20's, aboriginal, brown eyes, thin build, wearing grey tracksuit pants, a black top with dark grey long sleeves, white sneakers and a grey shirt covering his head and face.

Casino Detectives are seeking witnesses who may have seen any suspicious activity from persons in the area prior to 6.00am,
