Poetry and Public Speaking Competition

THIRTY students at St. Brigid's in Kyogle, presented a poetry or public speaking piece to a panel of judges, staff and the student body so the judges could narrow down the field before a final team were selected to compete in Casino at the Zone Public Speaking and Poetry Competition.

19 students practiced their prose over the weekend, fine tuning their delivery styles and presentations before today 19 became 5.

Off to compete are Eamon McCormack, Rhuara Mapabandara , Nate Walters, Abi Smith and Charlize Taylor.

HAZARDOUS SURF: Surf lifesavers are pleading with the public to stay out of the water this weekend after one of the biggest rescue days occurred on Saturday and swimmer is still missing on the north coast.
